Costume Party for Two

Number 2 in Kittens series, and who would be better to use but a thieving duo?

If I was Jerrie and Teazer, I would have started my heisting business by stealing from the local theatres. Might be because I'm completely too addicted to theatre these days. fourplaysthissummer  
Anywho, I was quite happy with the selected background; in fact, it turned out much better than how I thought it would. Making a junkyard takes a lot of imagination skills.  
Much fun, though. Teazer and Jerrie obviously have too much fun together. I can't say Teazer has much of a disguise, but I would employ her to use it for more of her jobs. Can't be too careful in this robbing business.  

Now, before I go, since I'm too poor to ask poll questions, What do you think of this style in digital? Did the first Kittens picture work better with the style of the background? Should I have filled in the white on the border, or does this look good? 
Has anyone seen that wreath of laurels and purple cape before? (hint: that's an easter egg)
